NOTES:

I will need a rough head count for this event, so please let me know via text or email how many family members or friends will be coming.

I need 4 people to bake 3 dozen cookies each for the Social- Let me know if you would like to do this. Also, I will need them by Saturday morning May 20.

• Set up and Clean up
• Help with the food-making sure food and drink are replenished during the party 
• Help with clean-up during the party
• We will have two sound systems for this show and will need a second person to play the music, a second sound engineer to work the mic volume, and a lighting person to run the lights.
• Mic tech- to move the radio mics from cast member to cast member
• We will need at least 2 or 3 costume change helpers

I need to work with the Little Mermaid Quartet sometime before Saturday, Keelie-Cruella da vil,

Mikayla-Moana song. Please schedule time-it can be afternoon or evening Friday or early

Saturday morning. None of these will take a lot of time.

The Social is coming up, and has turned into two performances.  One on May 20 and one on May 22.  Unfortunately, we may lose some cast members for the May 22 performance, but I really hope we won’t.  I am sorry about the change in plans, but, we are now free to have friends and family attend the event on the 20^th, and that’s a very good thing.  Please read the invitation that was sent to you via e-mail.

May Social Update

Dear Friends of JAKS and Cast of the Social Event,

There has been a mistake in the date of the Social.  Many of you have expressed interest in having friends and family attend and I discouraged it because we were invited to perform at at the opening Social for the Empty Nesters, and although Jim was asked to host the event, it was not his party. 

BUT!!!!! The mishap with the date has given us another opportunity.  The Social Event we were planning for on May 20^th, is actually on May 22- Monday evening at 7PM (323 Sanders Lane, Kaysville).  We will still honor our commitment to provide the entertainment, and I hope the cast will be available for that. 

May 20 JAKS will sponsor it’s own Social Event and hope that you will attend.  It will still be at Jim’s in Kaysville.  Everyone is welcome, but we will need a head count.  Also, it is an opportunity to get people to attend who have never seen a JAKS production.  It would be great if those attending this function could bring friends and introduce them to JAKS. This will not take the place of the JAKS benefit concert but will give us another opportunity to bring new people into the pool of cast members, donors, technical support and corporate sponsors.  If anyone would like to help me with the specifics of this event, please text me. Jaks Social - Rehearsal

Okay.  I have almost completed the program for the Social Event. I have a couple of auditions that still need to happen, however.

****Please do your homework, especially since we aren’t going to get to some of the numbers in the performance again for a few weeks.  Listen to and practice Trashin’ the Camp, and if you are a Muse-Learn your part from the movie video on Youtube.  Also, learn the vocal parts.   

Everyone is in the Newsies Medley- some of you will do some of the dancing and some of you will do all of the dancing, but I need all of you at the rehearsals so I can work it out. 

Aidan, Preston and Kurk have been added as main dancers to Cruisin for a Bruisin.

The other number that will take a lot of time is the dance in Down in New Orleans.  The dancers for that are:  Dekklan/Sierra, Hannah O/Kurk, Kallam/Mikayla, Tucker/Jaquelyn, and Zack/Emma (she may not be available for the Social so I will choose another dancer when I find out for sure.

For the next couple of weeks I would like to concentrate on the dance numbers and in May we will clean up the solo numbers.
