Saturday Rehearsal

Hi, All.  Tomorrow's rehearsal needs to end at 4.  The church needs to set up for an event they are having.  If you can stick around and help set up tables for about 15 minutes that would really help them.  Also, the photo shoot is still a go, i's just the time that is still in question. 

It will be in the morning, I think-  around 9 and I will give you more info later.  I will need only 4 burger palace boys, and Both Danny's if possible (but we could have more) and I need all the Rizzos and both Sandys.

Cancelled - Tonight and Friday

I am cancelling tonight's rehearsal and Friday night's rehearsal.  We don't need t work on Hand Jive and Friday was to be announced.

Photo Shoot 2/15

Hi, Everyone.  I just want to clarify that this Monday's photo shoot is for the full cast.  I will try to have costumes for you to take home tomorrow.

All cheerleaders including Patty (all 3) will come as cheerleaders

Burger Palace Boys, including Eli, will need to wear Blue Jeans, Converse style shoes, a plain white or colored tee shirt and a belt (brown leather if you have one) and a black leather jacket if you have your own. -Exceptions:

Sonny and Kenickie- Blue or Black jeans, White Tee Shirt, Short Sleeved button up shirt, and chain with medalian, and converse style shoes, or black loafers (sonny only)

Danny-Black jeans, converse style, Black sleeveless tee shirt, belt, converse style shoes

***BOYS-IF YOU DIDN'T TRY ON BLUE JEANS OR BLACK JEANS AT YOUR COSTUME FITTING AND YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR OWN LET ME KNOW ASAP=SAME GOES FOR CONVERSE SHOES-OR ANYTHING YOU THINK IS MISSING FROM THE LIST ABOVE. 

Vince Fontaine will wear a Vince Fontaine costume

Eugene will wear a Eugene costume- if you have brown shoes that tie, bring them.

Miss Lynch will wear the first Miss Lynch costume and Jenessa can change into a cheer costume, and Emily can wear her offcast opening

Cheerleaders must wear pony tails for any group cheer photo, but you can wear your hair down with a headband for other shots if you want.

All hair must be a style (curled - flip, pig tails, pony tails, down with headbands-if you are wearing your hair down, except Sandy you should plan to tease the top a little, even with pigtails-see photos of Hairspray cast)

Boys, hair must be slicked- 50s style.

James-Johnny Casino- black pants, shirt, tie-I'm adding Buddy Holly Glasses, I will bring the Jacket-But you can also bring your Burger Palace Boys costume.

Frenchy-Blonde wig and Pink-I will bring a pink wig for Jenni

Rizzo-Taylor- more of a Rizzo style, Keelie-the short wig I gave you, Sammy-I'll check with Cori and see if I can get her short brown wig.

Photo Shoot info

Dear Cast and Family Members,

You may arrive between 10:00 and 12:00 and stay until 3:00.  This will be a crazy long day, but we have a lot of kids and a lot of photos to take, so the sooner you get there, the more camera time you will have. 

At 1:30 we will all walk over to the Layton High bleachers for cast photos and group photos-Pink Ladies, Burger Palace Boys

Burger Stop has graciously agreed to host this event for us, so please plan to buy food. 

Please come prepared:

Hair and make-up            Cheer leaders all need to have pony tails.  Everyone else needs to fix their hair in a 50s style.

Costumes:  Wear your opening costume.  Sandy can change into the finale costume, hair and make up after shots in your opening costumes

Frenchy-Blonde Wig-You can bring your pink one and BSD costume if you want

Patty should have both her opening costume and cheer costume

Vince Fontaine should come as Vince Fontaine

Johnny Casino should come as Johnny Casino

Miss Lynch should come in opening Miss Lynch costume, but you can also bring your off cast opening costume.

All extra costumes will stay in my van- I don't want a bunch of extra costumes around.  Also, keep your personal items to a minimum to reduce the chaos.

If you have the old fashioned glass milkshake glasses or coke glasses and are willing to allow us to borrow them for this that would be awesome, since Burger Stop uses paper cups.

Rehearsal, Shows, Help, etc.

February 2, 2016

Dear Parents and Cast Members,

Samuel French has been in touch to let us know that they will not honor the first agreement they gave us and cannot use the 333 seat maximum for their fee calculations because they are required to charge for every seat even though we are not renting that section.  But, they are working on adding the Monday and Thursday shows to our original contract, and we will just have to pay the performance fees (which will be around $1200. for the two shows).  I will let you know when I have that adder and have paid for the performances.  They are very slow.

We should have fliers available this week.  Please contact all of your friends, family, classmates, teachers, etc.  and sell them tickets.  We will need to sell a TON of tickets to pay for the theater and the show with all of the extra expenses. 

PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!!! make all of the rehearsals for the next 3 weeks.    AND...

WE NEED HELP PAINTING.  WE WELCOME ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET.  TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY EVENING, SATURDAY, SUNDAY, ETC.

Also, I need to borrow or find the following pieces

TECH REHEARSALS:  We need parents who plan to work in the greenroom, back stage, hair and make-up, props, etc. to plan on working during tech week, at least two shows.  If you can plan to help out on Monday or Tuesday and at least attend one dress rehearsal-Wednesday or Thursday it will help things go smoothly.  Sign up sheets will be available soon.

On Monday and Tuesday we are starting tech rehearsals 1/2 hour later than we usually do, and skipping our dinner break.  Please eat before you come and plan to have some dinner with you that you can eat in your off time.

Wednesday and Thursday we will run the show beginning at 6:00 sharp!!!!! in costume with hair and make up.
