Jaks Shirts

Hi all -

Many of you have asked when we would be placing our next order for Jaks shirts and now is the time!  We will be ordering the same t-shirt as before with the full Jaks logo on the front and the small logo with website on the back center. These are $10, colors attached.
We are also going to try a new version of the shirt for girls.  This will be a scoop neck, form fitting junior ladies shirt with the small Jaks pocket logo on the front and the full Jaks logo on the back.  These will be $12, colors attached.
Please send me the size and color you would like to order no later than Monday, 7/1 night.

Annie Rehearsal - June 15th

Hi, I hope all of you the message earlier this week that today's rehearsal is NOT at the Riverdale location.  It is at Performance Dance
10:00 to 3:00 there will be a 30 minute break for lunch at 12:30. Send lunch and snacks.  Also, Jim (our photographer) has been very sick but hopes to feel well enough to do some head shots today.  Sorry about the late notice, but he wasn't sure if he could be there today.  Thanks.  Jill

Annie Rehearsal Updates

Hi, All,
I know you've received some annoying schedule changes and I am sorry about that. I really appreciate your willingness to be flexible and try to make these rehearsals.  I did make an error on the schedule for Wednesday and ThursdayOn Wednesday I have an unnecessary 2 hour lunch. I didn't mean to do that.  So Wednesday's rehearsal will be 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-4 (not 5).  Also, Thursday's rehearsal will end at 3:00, not 4:00

Annie Call Times

Also - VERY IMPORTANT - In the email below I had the cast times for next week as 5PM, this is incorrect.  The cast must arrive by 4PM Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Also, ensure you have food for dinner these evenings, if someone is bringing it to you please have it arrive at 530PM. There is a fridge and microwave in the greenroom.

The call times next week are as follows:

Kaysville Performance

Hi, Kids,

As I hope you all know, our Kaysville performance is this Saturday at 6:10PM and will go for 20 minutes.  I need everyone there by 5:30PM. 

I need all of you kids to help with this.  I am going to have a rehearsal Friday night, June 14.  I'm not sure where, yet, but the rehearsal will go 7:00-8:30.  Please let me know if you can make the rehearsal and the performance.  I'm debating on whether or not to wear costumes.

Annie Volunteers


Hi all -

Microphones
- 1 person from 530PM to end of show/tech rehearsal.  Don't be afraid to sign up for this.  We will have a list of mic changes and this person is responsible for ensuring the correct mic is on the correct cast member (and doesn't run off with the previous one) before they go on stage.  This means keeping track of them throughout the entire show and returning them to the sound booth afterward.

Set Crew AKA PIB
(People in Black) - 5 people needed from 530PM to end of show/tech rehearsal.  These people need to be dressed in black from head (well neck) to toe so you cannot been seen when changing sets during blackouts. 

Greenroom Moms
- 5 women needed from 530PM to end of show/tech rehearsal.  Spend the show in the greenroom helping kids with costume changes, hair and makeup fixes, making sure the kids are not hanging out in the dressing rooms, make their queues to be on stage and entertaining the little ones.

Hair/Makeup
- As many as possible from 530PM to 730PM.  It's exactly what it sounds like - helping the kids with hair and makeup.What to expect:

We have quite a few new cast members this show so hopefully I can provide some clarity on what to expect during tech week and performance nights. 

Tech week is the 3 evenings prior to opening night.  It is equally as important as our shows and therefore we have very high expectations. 
  • The first night (June 17th) we are working on sound and lighting in addition to running rehearsal so there may be pausing and waiting for things to come together.  We need all cast members on time (4PM) and paying close attention to learn their queues and the full flow of the show. 
  • The second two nights (June 18th & 19th) we run the show. Period.  We may as well have an audience because this is full show, cast, crew, etc. doing at least two full runs prior to opening night.  Again the entire cast must be there at 4PM, crew at 530PM.
We understand this is a busy and exhausting week for everyone, parents, cast and crew alike however if you are new you will find that the energy of the cast (and Jill) is contagious and more than anything it's an incredibly exciting time! 

Performance nights are exactly the same as June 18th & 19th.  We need the entire cast to arrive no later than 4PM, crew at your designated times and stay through the end of the show. For the matinee these times are 12 noon for cast and crew.

Final Annie Schedule

Hi, Parents and Cast,
Thank you so much for making sure your children got to rehearsal, building and painting sets, helping with costumes, selling tickets and ads and the many other things you do to make all of this happen.  I have set a very rigorous schedule for the next three weeks.  I realize that it might overlap with other plans that you have and may just be too much for your younger children.  Please review the schedule, let me know where there are conflicts.  But, I don't want to burn the kids out, and this might just do it.  So, Parents please evaluate your childs enthusiasm, etc.  before entering into the week of the 10th. Let me know what you think your child can do, without completely burning them out, or taking the fun out of the experience. 

To all of the older cast members:  Please try to make your scene work rehearsals, all of the Saturday rehearsals, and as many of the all day rehearsals as you can.  I don't want to burn you out either.  We have a lot of work to do, and it will help if you learn your lines.  So work on them, think about your character and make my life a little easier and rehearsals more productive by learning your lines.

Rehearsal Update - 6/1/13

Hi, All,
I have Annie rehearsal scheduled until 3:30 today.  I also have the Millie kids arriving for a brief rehearsal at 3:00.  We are performing at 4:45 at the Ogden Art festival at Union Station and need to leave Performance Dance at 3:30 in order to check in at 4:15.  So, I think I should end the Annie rehearsal at 3:00 instead of 3:30.  We will be at Performance Dance unitl 3:30, but will need all of the kids to be picked up by then.  Thanks for your help.   You might find the art festival interesting and might enjoy JAKS doing a flash-mob (have not idea how that will turn out, but it sounds like fun).
We are performing in front of the Union Station Bldg, near the fountain.  Maybe I'll see you there.   Jill
