1) I am planning a huge garage sale to raise money for JAKS and especially our second run of How To Succeed. So, if you are spring cleaning, please remember us. I will set up a drop spot in the next week for donations and I will let you know when and where as soon as it is confirmed. If you have something you can't transport just call or email and we will arrange pick-up.

2) You are all invited to help us out and be part of this project.
Parents and other family members: If you can help us with this project, be on a committee or help with food or set up, ticket sales, or promotion, that would be great. Thanks. Jill
We are holding a fund raising concert at the Ed Kenley in August for JAKS Youth Theatre Company
We will have 2 bands-Irish rock and Oldies rock
But I want to feature JAKS kids as well. I want to include a couple of full cast pieces (everyone can join if you come to a practice or two)
I was thinking "You Can't Stop the Beat" and the Grease "Mega Mix"
I was hoping I could get Shantell, Sarah and Cody to do "Easy Street"
But I want to feature past and current JAKS/BTC kids in solo or duet numbers or dance numbers and I will hold try outs. Choose your own music, any style. If you choose a "musical" piece it will be with a background track, but we will have a live band that can accompany soloists with other genres.
I'm thinking the breakdown of time will be:
JAKS - 3 solo or duet numbers-15 mintues
Shades of Grey- playing some dance music- and I hope you will all dance-45 min
JAKS-3 numbers-2 full cast-15 minutes
Pladdohg-45 minutes-Irish
Grease Mega Mix-10 minutes
The concert should run 2 1/2 hours -7:30-10:00
So, with the Mega Mix, Easy Street, and You Can't Stop the Beat (and maybe Free At Last-if Phillip's available)
that leaves about 20 minutes of solo/duet vocals or dance numbers. If you want to audition email and I'll set up a time.
