Glee --> Promotion, Pre-sale Tickets, Crew Sign Up & Expectations
Promotion
We are really just focused on the Village Green for this round of promotion.
There is already a Facebook event so spread the word: http://www.facebook.com/event.
I will also send an email with show details, please forward to your address books and lets fill the seats!
Pre-sale Tickets
We need EACH cast member to sell at least 12 tickets in order to sell out every show at the Village Green. Easy right?? This is especially important because there has been no tuition for this show and we have bills to pay.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12 and seniors 65+.

Crew
I recommend you attend at least one tech night if you are doing Set Crew or Greenroom so you have a feel for the show prior to a live run.
Microphones - 1 person from 5PM to end of show. Don't be afraid to sign up for this. We will have a list of mic changes and this person is responsible for ensuring the correct mic is on the correct cast member (and doesn't run off with the previous one) before they go on stage. This means keeping track of them throughout the entire show and returning them to the sound booth afterward.
Set Crew AKA PIB (People in Black) - 4 people needed from 5PM to end of show. These people need to be dressed in black from head (well neck) to toe so you cannot been seen when changing sets during blackouts.
Greenroom Moms - 5 people needed from 5PM to end of show. Spend the show in the greenroom helping kids with costume changes, hair and makeup fixes, making sure the kids make their queues to be on stage and entertaining the little ones.
Hair/Makeup - As many as possible from 5PM to 7PM. It's exactly what it sounds like - helping the kids with hair and makeup prior to the show.
If you are volunteering you do not have to purchase a ticket for the show on the night you are working only. Hair & Makeup doesn't count since it's just a pre-show job. The rest of the jobs keep you there throughout the show so you are welcome to see what you can, however you will be quite busy so I wouldn't plan on the nights you volunteer also being the nights you watch the show.
If you are helping a performer get ready or bringing them food and do not have a job for the evening then you will need to leave or purchase a ticket prior to places call (approx. 6:45). Thanks in advance for understanding.
What to expect
We have quite a few new cast members this show so hopefully I can provide some clarity on what to expect during tech week and performance nights.
Tech week is the 4 evenings prior to opening night. It is equally as important as our shows and therefore we have very high expectations.
- The first two nights (May 2nd and 3rd) we are working on sound and lighting in addition to running a full dress (meaning costumes, hair and makeup) rehearsal so there may be pausing and waiting for things to come together. We need all cast members on time (4PM) and paying close attention to learn their queues and the full flow of the show.
- The second two nights (May 4th and 5th) we run the show. Period. We may as well have an audience because this is full show, cast, crew, etc. doing at least two full runs prior to opening night. Again the entire cast must be there at 4PM, crew at 5PM.
Performance nights are exactly the same as May 4th and 5th. We need the entire cast to arrive no later than 4PM, crew at your designated times and stay through the end of the show.
Thanks as always for all of your support. We wouldn't be successful without the wonderful family, friends and parents of our amazing cast members! Please reach out with any questions.
Thanks,
Beth
