Hi, all. I mentioned in an earlier email that we are having a benefit
for JAKS at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater on July 20. We will have the
same bands as last year with some new and really exciting stuff for JAKS
to participate in. What I didn't say was that JAKS is always operating
in the red. Our tuition and ticket sales cover about 2/3ds of our
expenses, the rest has come out of my pocket. We have had some great
help from Karen Jones, Got Storage, and Speedi Pack in reducing our
expenses, and, of course we woudn't have sets, costumes, or be able to
put on a show without our faithful, diligent, devoted, and supportive
parents. But, I mention this because we need your support at this
benefit. It will be a great show, if all of you kids participate, but
we will need a huge audience. That's not something JAKS is good at, but
now is the time. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PUT THE DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR,
START TELLING EVERYONE YOU KNOW. ASK FOR DONATIONS FOR OUR SILENT
AUCTION, AND PLAN TO BE THERE. WE REALLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT!!!!

have figured out part of the JAKS program- new stuff "Glee" style,
we'll also do some Millie stuff. But I was thinking of having a
kick-off meeting this coming Friday night to introduce the new
material. Everyone who has ever been, or ever wants to be in JAKS is
invited to participate. Hope to see you Friday 7:00-10:00 (younger kids
can leave earlier) I will have some snacks, but you are welcome to
